Definition of Wayist Mysticism

Every tradition and almost every new form of spiritual awareness has its own definition of mysticism.

We follow the ancient meanings of the word as used by the Socratic, Daodejing and Upanishadic schools.  The English-language word "Mysticism" is derived from the Greek μυω, meaning "I conceal".  We see the same reference in the Sanskrit word रहस्य rahasya which means "secret" or "deep mystery". 

The Greek derivative of μυω, μυστικός or mystikos, has the meaning of 'an initiate'.  The primary meaning is to "induct" and "initiate", make someone aware or train someone into the mysteries. 

The related form of the verb μυέω (mueó or myéō) appears in the New Testament.  It shutting the eyes and mouth to experience mystery. 

The Sanskrit term रहस् rahas means secrecy, mystery, and sensual intercource.  The derivative रहाट rahATa means all of; spirit, counselor, soul and to go to a secret place.

For the Wayist, mysticism is integral and essential.  Very, very little about Wayism is discernable by the human brain alone, therefore most of what we know comes to us, and is practiced by and in the higher faculties of the spirit. 

The Wayist is introduced to and made aware of mystical aspects of the soul's workings.  She is coached to access her higher self to gain wisdom, insight, and guidance.

Without introduction/initiation to the mysteries (knowledge hidden from the human brain) of the soul and the Way, Wayism is not grasped by the human mind. It is nigh impossible to study Wayism from a theoretical/academical point of view only. It is something that comes to life only in the soul, in higher awareness and in the existential engagement of the higher consciousness. 

 

Para-normal Consciousness

The prefix para means both "above and beyond" and "besides or alongside".

Wayist mysticism is discernable with soul faculties of paranormal consciousness.  All souls have these faculties. Wayist teachers make people aware of how to be attuned to their inherent paranormal consciousness.  One can develop one's awareness with practise and guidance.

The prefix para also means alongside.  This is apt because; the reality in which the soul and spirit lives is not above, but just here.  Alongside the three-dimensional reality experienced by the human body. 

At the lowest possible level of fascination, some people who investigate the paranormal tend to get stuck on issues about bending spoons with the mind, getting departed spirits to move stuff, and aliens probing people's nether regions. Please; Wayism is unattractive to most of the people who get stuck on those types of paranormal questions.

 

Mystical writings 

Mystical teaching is often constructed to have several layers of meaning.  Depending on the initiate's level of induction, the text can mean different things to different people.  In so doing, an initiate can go through levels of initiation to unlock higher mysteries; reading the same text as before but with a new perspective and new keys to "unlock the mysteries". 

Examples of mystical writings are numerous. Some books are fully accesible and useful to someone not initiated to the tradition.  Some of the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and teachings of Jesus and the Daodejing are examples of teaching that can be useful without keys to unlock deeper understanding.  This, then, is how outsiders like some academics and critics read the lessons. 

 

Timeless lessons

Mystical writings are often timeless.  The lessons remain the same for the soul notwithstanding the era, technology, science, culture or education of the mystic.  No matter what the authors' context, it seems all mystics speak the same language.  All seem to speak to the same existential human awareness, the same heightened consciousness, the same ecstacy.  The quest of the soul is the same now as it was three thousand years ago and many of the manuals and teachings are still valid notwithstanding we now live in a modern time.

 

Inclusive

Almost anyone, irrespective of education, status, station, gender and so, can be made aware of the mystical truths and mystical faculties of the human soul.  

 

"Inner circle" and esoterics

Having stated that mysticism is inclusive, within the ability of most humans, we must speak top the esoterics and the concept of the "inner circle".  There are levels of mystical awareness, as there are levels in any higher education that specializes in a direction.  There are logical reasons why a junior student does not do well to try and master higher-level training without the required preliminaries.  In medical practice; a 3rd-year student is not as well versed in the mechanisms of cancer as an oncologist. It may be dangerous for the student to quickly read an oncology paper or two, and then try to cure a patient. Sometimes we need preliminary studies and skills practise to master higher skills and wisdom.  This is the case with the esoteric tradition.

One example of a most-esoteric school is the Wayist Nirvanalaksanayoga Tantra.  It is a very exclusive teaching because it requires exceptional commitment, ethics, and discipline because practitioners work with exceptionally powerful forces that, in the wrong hands, can be used to cause harm and manipulate people.  Practitioners may achive huge material success, but the karma of improper application of this is severe.  It is, therefore, protection, to the not-yet-ready student of the deep mysteries to not initiated to that awareness.
